Recipes, variants and cooking mode are live

Every recipe you collect, ready to actually cook.

Gathera pulls recipes in from wherever you found them, keeps them in a library you can scale and riff on, and walks you through the cooking with timers and temperatures where you need them.

A private, self-hosted kitchen app — sign-in runs through Zitadel.

What Gathera does right now

No waitlist copy — this is the part that is built and working.

Import from anywhere

Drop in a URL, an Instagram reel, a TikTok, a photo of a cookbook page, or just pasted text. Sites with structured data import instantly; everything else is parsed with AI.

Food and drinks

Recipes know what they are. Food carries prep and cook times; drinks carry glass, ice, method and garnish — so a cocktail doesn't pretend to be a casserole.

Steps that mean something

Instructions aren't flat text. Ingredient references, timers and oven or stovetop temperatures live inside each step, so the app can act on them while you cook.

Cooking mode

Full-screen, one step at a time, swipe to advance. Start a countdown straight from a step and keep an eye on a heat readout that follows the recipe.

Scale to your table

Change the servings and every amount re-scales — including the ones written inline in the instructions. Nothing is overwritten; the original recipe stays as it was.

Variants

Riff on a recipe — vegan, half batch, extra chilli — as a patch on top of the original. Only the differences are stored, so fixes to the base flow through.

Folders

Group recipes into folders that make sense to you: weeknights, the cocktail shelf, the things you actually cook twice.

Sessions that resume

Walk away mid-recipe and come back to the same step. Finished cooks land in a history list you can open again.

Generated images

Recipes that arrived without a photo can get one generated, so your library doesn't look like a spreadsheet.

The loop

Link in, dinner out

01

Import it

Paste the link or the caption. You get a filled-in recipe form to review before anything is saved.

02

Shape it

Fix the amounts, tag the timers and temperatures, file it in a folder, and add variants for the way you actually make it.

03

Cook it

Set your servings, hit cooking mode, and work through the steps with timers running and the heat in view.
